DISABLED KIDS at GAWAD KALINGA
El Dorado, Paranaque City
May 18, 2017
We visited Gawad Kalinga Village in El Dorado, Paranaque City – home for 24 poor families with disabled kids. The kids are mostly with cerebral palsy and require physical therapy to improve their mobility and limb functions. The kids’ families are unable to pay for regular therapy sessions due to financial incapacity.
TLSI donated cash to help pay and sustain the therapy for these kids and for some medical needs. TLSI also brought grocery bags for each family as these families are very poor as some are unable to work for they take care of their kids who cannot be left alone.
Photo here with the kids parents, Mr Red Padilla – the main facilitator of the center, Mr Edgardo Tirona, Janine Gunday (TLSI volunteer in facebook)
We were also joined in by two of our TLSI donors – Mr. Cris Pacheco and Mr. Edgardo Tirona.
The children, parents and Mr. Red Padilla send their heartfelt thanks to TLSI for the donation which will be a great help to sustain the therapy and medical needs of the kids.
