Palm Stearine (low IV) is also called Hydrogenated Palm Stearine (HPS). It is widely used as vegetable shortening in cakes, margarine, creaming fats. Also a base in cosmetic products, and waxes like candles, and crayons. Used in further chemical processing for vegetable-based food emulsifiers requiring low iodine value like glycerol esters.
