HanCole donated the other half of our monthly allotment to Concordia Children’s Service. This organization established since 1983 is motivated to give temporary shelter to children who were abandoned, neglected, orphaned or surrendered by parents. They provide home-life, round the clock caring, health and nutrition and education to these children. As of to-date, they have a total of 17 children under their care. Their ultimate goal is to give these children permanent, stable and loving homes in cooperation with DSWD. In fact, most of the children have already an adoptive family and the papers are now being processed. Some children are being adopted by foreign couples from Australia, New Zealand and USA and etc
Aside from residential care program, they also have street/urban poor children program wherein they provide educational assistance to children in formal school, character building and values sessions, sports and recreation, Christian education and counselling. They help these children find sponsorships for their education.
Tutorials and feeding programs were also given to these children everyday.
Concordia do not have a regular donor and are just dependent to kind-hearted individuals and companies.
The costs for sponsoring a child ranges from P4,000 (elementary) and P5,000 (highschool) for one year.
