For the month of June, TLSI had four different beneficiaries:

1.) BALIK ESKWELA ASSISTANCE

Slide1

The month of June is a Back to School Month. TLSI donated school supplies to Grade 5 Section Humility students in Bagong Pag-asa Elementary School located in San Juan Floodway, Taytay, Rizal.

Teacher Agnes Q. Omnes of Rm#36 was the intermediary for this project.  She requested for a Stand Fan and some school supplies for her upcoming Grade 5 Humility Section students.

On Monday June 20, 2016, TLSI made a surprise visit to Teacher Agnes students while on break time. Aside from the Stand Fan and some school supplies, TLSI also brought snacks for the students.

Parents of these students are usually beneficiaries of 4P’s: tricycle drivers, construction workers, vendors, etc.

2.) MR. CHUA

Slide2

CRIBS Foundation, Inc. (formerly C.R.I.B.S. PHILIPPINES INC.) was started in 1974 by American missionary wives who brought home two children from Reception and Study Center of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD). Mrs. Rhoda Bradshaw was instrumental in placing the babies with their adoptive families in 1977.

The center has the following programs:

Receiving Home – provides an alternative home environment for abandoned, surrendered, neglected and dependent children aged 0-4 years old with the end goal of permanently placing them with their birth families, relatives or adoptive families. It is staffed with compassionate, professional and committed caregivers 24 hours a day.

New Beginnings – addresses the healing and recovery of sexually abused female minors, aged 7-17 years old. Its services include home life, formal education, adjunctive therapy, individual and group counselling, basic health services, family counselling and after care services.New Beginnings provides protective custody and healing intervention programs and works toward the reintegration of the children with their families, if possible, and society in general.

Our Post-Residential Care or After Care Services – an adjunct of the New Beginnings Program, ensures the smooth transition of the girls once they are reintegrated back to their families/relatives or other alternative placement. This is offered after the girls have successfully undergone our basic healing and recovery program. Educational assistance and other relevant services are provided to those still needing it.
